The DCU Superman star has returned to intense workouts with his personal trainer as production for Man of Tomorrow approaches its April start date, exciting fans who see this as confirmation the sequel is moving forward.

David Corenswet is back to serious training for his Superman sequel. The actor was spotted working out with Paolo Mascitti, the same personal trainer who helped him build his superhero body for the first DCU film.

The gym photo surfaced on Mascitti's Instagram Stories and quickly spread across social media. Fans took it as a positive sign that Man of Tomorrow remains on schedule for its April production start.

Fans React to Training Update

Nicholas Hoult, who plays Lex Luthor, confirmed the April filming date back in November. Since then, updates have been scarce. That's why this simple workout photo got fans so excited.

"With David Corenswet back in Superman shape and filming this April, the hype for Man of Tomorrow is real. James Gunn says this isn't just a sequel; it's a deep dive into Clark and Lex's dynamic. Seeing David get back to 'fighting weight' makes me think the action in this one is going to be on a whole different level," one fan wrote on X.

Another praised his dedication: "This also means intense workouts, strict diets… all for the sake of delivering that perfect Superman performance. Respect!"

The Physical Transformation Process

Corenswet's first Superman transformation was intense. He went from 200 pounds to 240 pounds on a 6,000-calorie daily diet. His routine included two hours of daily workouts focused on compound lifts and squats.

Mascitti revealed that "half of his training had to be done over FaceTime" during the original preparation. Now they're working together in person again.

Production Timeline and Release Schedule

Last time, training started five months before cameras rolled. With filming set to begin in just over two months, the timing makes sense.

Man of Tomorrow will hit theaters July 9, 2027. It comes after Supergirl and Clayface in 2026, and before Matt Reeves' The Batman Part II on October 1, 2027.
