The upcoming movie is based on Dylan Clark's `Portrait of a God`, a seven-minute piece that has captivated audiences, racking up over 8.6 million plays on YouTube since its debut in August 2022. The story is expected to follow the original's premise, focusing on a young girl named Mia Reilly. She finds herself questioning her own beliefs while examining a mysterious painting of the Almighty, leading to a profound and unsettling spiritual crisis.
An impressive team is assembling behind the scenes. The creator of the original work, Dylan Clark, will co-write the screenplay with Joe Russo. On the production side, the founder of Monkeypaw Productions will oversee the project alongside Win Rosenfeld, known for his work on `Candyman`, `Him`, and `Nope`.
