The found-footage phenomenon that terrified audiences is far from over. A new chapter in the iconic horror series is officially in the works, and this time, a modern master of the genre is stepping in to guide the terror. Find out who is joining the team to bring back the ghostly encounters.

Just when you thought it was safe to turn off the night-vision camera, the Paranormal Activity series is gearing up for another scare. Blumhouse Productions is breathing new life into the ghostly franchise, and they've enlisted some serious horror heavyweights to make it happen.

Stepping up to the plate as a producer is James Wan, the visionary director behind modern horror classics like The Conjuring and Insidious. He won't be alone in the producer's chair, as he's joined by Blumhouse's own Jason Blum and Oren Peli, who helmed the original low-budget film that started it all.

As of now, the project is keeping its secrets close. No writer, director, or cast members have been announced. This approach is classic for the series, which has a history of discovering fresh, unknown talent to capture its signature authentic terror both on and off screen.

This new installment follows the 2021 entry, Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin, which premiered exclusively on the Paramount+ streaming service.
