The sci-fi disaster, featuring Ice Cube as a computer security analyst discovering government conspiracies during extraterrestrial attacks, earned nominations across major categories. Worst Picture leads the pack. Critics weren't kind either - the film managed just 4% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Directors Face the Music
Filmmakers couldn't escape the Razzie wrath. Rich Lee faces Worst Director scrutiny alongside Marc Webb for Snow White. Star Trek: Section 31's Olatunde Osunsanmi, Hurry Up Tomorrow's Trey Edward Shults, and The Electric State's Russo Brothers round out the category.

Snow White's seven computer-generated dwarfs earned double nominations - Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Combo. Other combo nominees include Ice Cube paired with his Zoom camera, James Corden with Rihanna in Smurfs, and The Weeknd matched with his "Colossal Ego."
Female acting dishonors went to Ariana DeBose, Michelle Yeoh, Milla Jovovich, Natalie Portman, and Rebel Wilson. Supporting categories feature Anna Chlumsky, Ema Horvath, and Sylvester Stallone's daughter Scarlet Rose Stallone.
Controversy Continues
The Razzies have faced mounting criticism since 1981. Film fans call the event "mean-spirited" and "petty." The organization previously apologized for nominating 12-year-old Ryan Kiera Armstrong and rescinded Bruce Willis's 2021 award after his aphasia diagnosis became public.
Some winners have achieved Oscar-Razzie doubles. Alan Menken won both in 1993 - an Academy Award for Aladdin's music and a Razzie for Newsies. Sandra Bullock claimed Worst Actress for All About Steve, then Best Actress for The Blind Side the next day in 2010.
