The Game of Thrones star made his feelings crystal clear when asked about potentially voicing his iconic character for an audiobook adaptation, citing his decade-long commitment to the role.

The actor who brought Jon Snow to life has made it abundantly clear he has no interest in returning to that world, even in voice-only form. During a recent interview about his work on the Harry Potter audiobook series for Audible, Kit Harington was asked about the possibility of lending his voice to a Game of Thrones audiobook project.

His response left no room for interpretation. "No, god no," Harington said bluntly. "I don't wanna go anywhere near it. I spent 10 years doing that. Thanks, I'm alright."

The Scrapped Spin-off That Never Was

Harington's reluctance to revisit Westeros extends beyond audiobooks. The actor was previously set to star in a dedicated spin-off series called Snow, which would have followed his character's story after the events of the original series finale.

However, that project never made it to production. "We spent a couple of years back and forth developing it. And it just didn't... nothing got us excited enough," Harington explained regarding why the show was ultimately abandoned.

The actor took responsibility for pulling the plug on the project, saying he "kind of backed out" when it became clear the development wasn't heading in the right direction. "I think if we push this any further and keep developing it we could end up with something that's not good. And that's the last thing we all want," he stated.

Westeros Lives On Without Him

While Harington may be done with his time in the Seven Kingdoms, the franchise itself continues to expand. Multiple projects are currently in various stages of production, ensuring fans will have plenty of content to look forward to.

House of the Dragon is set to return for its third season in 2026, with a fourth season already confirmed. Additionally, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will premiere on January 18, 2026, with its own second season also greenlit for future production.
