Vince Gilligan Promises Quick Return for Pluribus Season 2
Golden Globe winner Rhea Seehorn reveals that the creative team is already working on new episodes, though fans will likely wait until next year for the Apple TV Plus series to return.
Fresh off her Golden Globe victory, Rhea Seehorn brings encouraging news about Pluribus season 2. The Apple TV Plus star, who took home the award for her portrayal of Carol Sturka, confirms that Vince Gilligan and his writing team have already returned to work on new episodes.
"I know he wants us to go as soon as possible. He's not playing any kind of game to make people wait for this. But he wants to craft the show with all the care for his fans and the people following this story that he can. So we'll get back as fast as we can," Seehorn explained after her Golden Globe win.
Production Timeline Remains Uncertain
Despite the team's eagerness to move forward, viewers shouldn't expect new episodes anytime soon. Production hasn't begun yet, making a 2026 release highly unlikely.
Gilligan previously indicated that writing for the sophomore season only started in November. The showrunner had already cautioned audiences about the extended gap between seasons, stating "it's going to be a while between seasons" and describing the delay as simply "the nature of the beast."
Balancing Speed with Quality
Seehorn's comments suggest the production team faces the familiar challenge of meeting fan expectations while maintaining the show's quality standards. Gilligan's reputation for meticulous storytelling means the wait might be longer than hoped, but the creative process won't be rushed.
The first season's success, culminating in Seehorn's Golden Globe win, has clearly energized the team. Yet the early stage of development means patience will be required from the show's growing fanbase.
