The actress voicing Lara Croft in upcoming video games publicly endorsed Sophie Turner's transformation into the iconic tomb raider for Amazon's new series, sparking excitement among fans.

This year marks a major comeback for one of gaming's most recognizable heroes. Lara Croft returns not just in the upcoming video game Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, but also through Amazon Prime Video's live-action series starring Sophie Turner.

The former Game of Thrones actress recently appeared in costume as the legendary adventurer. Her look captured the classic elements that define Croft. Fans immediately began weighing in on social media about Turner's transformation.

Professional Endorsement

Among those offering praise was Alix Wilton Regan, the voice actress bringing Lara Croft to life in both Legacy of Atlantis and the 2027 release Tomb Raider: Catalyst. Regan took to Instagram with enthusiastic support for Turner's portrayal.

"Lara looking mighty fine / fire / fierce these days," Regan wrote in her post. She directly addressed Turner, adding "@sophieturner - I AM HERE FOR IT."

The public endorsement from one Croft performer to another demonstrates the collaborative spirit surrounding this beloved character's return to multiple platforms.

Star-Studded Cast

Turner won't be carrying the adventure alone. The Amazon series has assembled an impressive ensemble cast to bring the Tomb Raider universe to television.

Jason Isaacs joins as Atlas DeMornay, Croft's uncle. Bill Paterson takes on the role of Winston, the family butler who fans know should probably avoid walk-in freezers. Martin Bobb-Semple appears as Zip, Lara's tech support specialist.

Sigourney Weaver, known for her work in the Avatar franchise, plays Evelyn Wallis. This character represents a completely new addition to the Tomb Raider mythology. Wallis encounters Lara and becomes curious about her abilities. Given the franchise's history, viewers should probably question her motives.

Additional cast members include Jack Bannon, John Heffernan, Celia Imrie, Patterson Joseph, Sasha Luss, August Wittgenstein, and Juliette Motamed. Amazon hasn't announced when audiences will see this team in action, as no release date has been confirmed.
