Warner Bros Discovery unveils an extensive celebration marking 25 years since Harry Potter's theatrical debut, featuring special screenings with unseen footage, immersive experiences, and worldwide themed events throughout the year.

Warner Bros Discovery has announced a comprehensive celebration honoring the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's theatrical release. The studio's "25 Years of Magic" initiative will transform this year into a global tribute to the beloved wizard franchise.

The celebration kicks off with special theatrical screenings running from August 27 through September 3. These presentations will include 10 minutes of previously unreleased behind-the-scenes material. Select locations promise additional surprises beyond the standard re-release format.

Immersive Theater Experiences Expand Access

Cosm venues in Los Angeles and Dallas will offer immersive screenings of the original film. Tickets become available March 4. The company plans to open additional locations in Atlanta and Detroit, both featuring the anniversary presentation.

These specialized theaters provide enhanced viewing experiences compared to traditional cinema formats. The immersive technology creates a more engaging environment for audiences revisiting the franchise's origins.

Butterbeer Trucks and Birthday Celebrations

Mobile butterbeer vendors will appear in major cities worldwide starting in March, continuing operations through May. These trucks will sell the franchise's signature beverage alongside exclusive merchandise.

The studio will also commemorate Harry Potter's fictional birthday on July 31. This celebration includes access to limited-edition products and special events at official retail locations in Tokyo, London, and various US cities.

Retail Partnerships and Merchandise Expansion

Multiple brands are participating in the anniversary campaign. Partners include The LEGO Group, Spin Master, Crocs, Jazzwares, Alex and Ani, Hallmark, and Vera Bradley. These collaborations will produce themed products available through September 1, traditionally known as Back to Hogwarts day.

Physical Harry Potter stores will stock exclusive anniversary items, while online retailers will provide global access to the commemorative merchandise. The celebration represents one of the largest coordinated efforts to honor the franchise's cultural impact since its original release.
