Bodybuilder-Turned-Actor Jayne Trcka Dies at 62
The multi-talented performer who transitioned from competitive bodybuilding to Hollywood roles passed away in December, with authorities still investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
Jayne Trcka, who built careers spanning bodybuilding, wrestling, and acting before landing her breakout role in the comedy hit, has passed away at age 62. Her son broke the news to media outlets, confirming she died on December 12th, 2025.
The San Diego Medical Examiner's office acknowledged trauma was present but stopped short of releasing specifics. "We wouldn't be able to indicate cause of death at this time," a spokesperson told reporters.
From Muscle to Movies
Trcka's journey began in the late 1980s when she first stepped into competitive bodybuilding. She treated it as a side pursuit for nearly a decade before committing fully to the sport.
The year 2000 marked her Hollywood debut. She secured the role of Miss Mann in the popular parody film, launching an acting career that would span multiple genres. Her filmography grew to include The Black Magic, Nudity Required, The Interplanetary Surplus Male and Amazon Women of Outer Space, plus Cattle Call.
Television audiences might recognize her from guest spots on Who's Line Is It Anyway? She also appeared as a prison guard in Lady Gaga's "Telephone" music video, showcasing her imposing physical presence.
Wrestling Roots and Real Estate
Beyond entertainment, Trcka worked as a California realtor. But her first passion remained combat sports, where she performed under the ring name Kasie Cavanaugh.
"I remember standing in my underwear in our living room, having boxing and wrestling matches with my brother," she told Muscle Magazine. "I used to chase the neighbourhood boys with angleworms; I loved to have the upper hand on the boys."
That competitive spirit carried through every aspect of her life. From bodybuilding stages to movie sets, she brought the same intensity that defined her childhood wrestling matches.
