Bloody Violence

Zach Cregger's Resident Evil opens on 18 September tracking for a franchise-record start. The number everyone is citing to prove the series never broke through — $26.6 million — is being misread, and it is almost exactly the entire American gross of the biggest Resident Evil film ever made.

The MPA has slapped Ready or Not 2: Here I Come with an R rating for intense bloody violence and gore, signaling the sequel will push boundaries even further than its predecessor.
